Westhill Invitational, Aberdeen – 6&7 May

Whilst our younger swimmers were involved in our own Mini Meet at home, our older swimmers headed south for yet another trip to Aberdeen, on this occasion to compete in the Westhill Invitational Meet.

Alex Mackay (14/15 age group) was the only girl attending and she showed how commitment and training pay off when she came home with 5 medals.  Competing in 10 events overall, she won 1 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals – Silver in 100 Fly and Bronze in 200 Breast, 100 Back, 200 Back and 200 Free – achieving PBs in the 200 Breast and, 50 & 100 Free.

The boys were represented by Louis Pickering (12/13 age group) and Jack Gunn, Mark McCoustra and Euan Macdonald (all 14/15 age group).

Louis had 5 swims and won Bronze in 100 Free.  He also had a PB in 200 Free.

Jack had 6 swims and won Silver in 100 Breast and Bronze in 200 Breast.  He also had PBs in 50 & 100 Breast, 50 & 100 Free, and 50 Back.

Congratulations to all TASC swimmers for your hard work and training – it is clearly paying off – keep up the good work.
